Patient treatments

Minimally invasive periodontal treatment means treating a patient with the least amount of trauma to that patient. That means that they have the fastest possible recovery, they have the least amount of discomfort after treatment, and of course, no discomfort during treatment.
Many patients are afraid to go to the dentist because they think there will be pain associated with that. As a result, they neglect their dental treatment. And we are seeing patients who have spent many, many years avoiding the dentist and because of that, now have tremendously diseased dentitions
that are affecting their overall health. The good news is our new technologies and new treatment processes. We can eliminate the disease which improves their oral health which also affects their systemic health. Today’s technology, today’s dental techniques can be virtually pain-free.
And we try to use the absolute latest technology in everything that we do. X-rays are a place where technology has moved forward rapidly in the last 10 years. And so, all of our X-rays are digital. Digital X-rays are valuable, number one, because it creates less radiation for the patient,
and that’s the most important reason. But in addition to that, it allows us to get a much better view of the area that we’re radiographing. We also have three-dimensional X-rays which is relatively new in the dental field. And virtually, every implant patient has three-dimensional X-rays taken
so that we have the best possible information before we treat them. You can visit our website or call us. We’ll be happy to do a comprehensive examination and give you all the information that you will need.

Explaining 3 Ways Dental Implants Can Help You Live a Better Life

Any patient who’s missing a tooth or needs to have a tooth removed is a candidate for dental implants. Here are three ways that dental implants can improve your quality of life. When you’re missing teeth, your ability to chew is seriously reduced. By using dental implants, we could replace those teeth in a way that the teeth never move and function just like your original teeth. The confidence that you gain by replacing one or more teeth is immeasurable. There’s nothing that can make you feel old faster than missing teeth. Dental implants can last a lifetime. Like anything, there can be complications, but they’re very rare. Most patients have dental implants done, and they last their entire life. Every case that we do, our goal is that nobody knows what was done, and the final result is as natural and lifelike as possible. Laser Assisted Periodontal Treatments

The top 3 benefits of laser periodontal therapy are that our patients can receive their treatment in a quicker amount of time, they receive treatment with less discomfort, and they get a better overall result as compared to traditional periodontal therapy.

One of the benefits at our office is that we use the PerioLase MVP-7. A specific laser that’s geared towards treating periodontal disease in a minimally invasive way. Along with that, we also use the laser to treat frenectomies which is the muscle pulls that we have in

our mouth that sometimes are interfering with the ability to chew or speak. And we also use the laser for hematoma removals or deep pigmentation of certain tissues. The benefits of laser periodontics are that they are less invasive than traditional methods, and there’s

less discomfort and less overall treatment time. In terms of who suffers from periodontal disease, it can range from young adolescence to, of course, people that are elderly. It just varies depending on the cause of the disease. But generally, anybody at any point of their life

can suffer from Periodontal Disease. To learn more about how laser treatment can benefit you, visit our website for more information or call our office to schedule a consultation. We hope to see you at Garazi Periodontics soon.

Dr. Isaac Garazi speaking

All-on-four is a term that indicates the use of multiple implants, at least four implants, to support an entire arch of teeth. An entire arch can be anywhere from 10 to 14 teeth that are supported by the implant. All on four is a generic term. Generally, we like to use more than four implants, but four implants is the minimum. Any patient that needs the replacement of all their teeth is a candidate for that procedure. Sometimes it’s simple. The implants can be placed immediately. Other times patients need bone grafter prior to implant placement, but virtually every patient can have that type of treatment. The main benefit of all on four treatment is the complete restoration of the dentition. Restoration and replacement of teeth from a cosmetic standpoint and from a functional standpoint. We probably spend more time planning the all on four type of the case than we do actually performing it. So, there are hours of planning that are done in the background between myself as the surgeon, the general dentist, and the laboratory before we actually treat the patient. We love doing full-art dental treatment plans because they’re very rewarding. Patients come to us with essentially a mutilated dentition, and their final result is brand new, beautiful teeth that they can be proud of and that they can smile with.

To learn more about dental implants, call our office, make an appointment for a comprehensive examination. Whether you have a problem with one tooth or with your entire dentition, we can help you correct that problem. Doing LANAP treatment

This is the video animation of the FDA cleared laser periodontal procedure called laser-assisted new attachment procedure or LENAP. The periolase fiber, about the size of three human hairs, is gently placed between the gum and teeth to remove the disease tissue inside the pocket. This laser fiber selectively removes the disease tissue and kills the germs that caused gum infections while leaving healthy tissue unharmed. This also improves access and visibility for better removal of the barnacles of calculus from the surface of the teeth. Tiny ultrasonic root cleaners vibrate these deposits away and flush them out with antibacterial rinse. Once the surfaces of the teeth are clean, the laser is used a second time at the bottom of the pocket to remove any remaining debris and to sterilize the pocket, soft tissue, root, and bone. This also causes the blood to become sticky, creating a seal around the teeth. Once the seal is formed, we have created a clean, closed, and stable environment for healing to begin. We have tipped the scales in favor of regeneration versus degeneration.

LANAP Protocol – Laser Gum Disease Treatment

Some of the technology that we use at Garazi Paradontics and Dental Implants to improve our patient’s overall outcomes include the use of 3D CBCT CAT scan technology, the Lanap laser technology for periodontal treatment, and digital or intra-oral digital impressions to eliminate the use of conventional impressions. One of the beautiful things about laser treatment is that we can make incisions with a laser that are minimally invasive and create less discomfort for the patient and a better overall result. Since we We don’t have to open up the gums like we do with traditional surgery. Patients experience the benefits of that, which are less pain, less swelling, faster recovery time. One of the benefits of 3D CBCT technology is that we’re able to plan out and execute a patient’s surgery beforehand. So, when we go into the surgery, we’re more precise, it takes less time, and we have a better outcome, whether that’s in regards to taking teeth out, placing implants, or any array of surgeries.
